TestDisk 7.0, Data Recovery Utility, April 2015 Shall I initialize and recover from there?
What is the best approach to recover when HD is full of bad sectors? So the process is utterly slow because of bad sectors. I think there is a problem when the HD is forced to write more than available space.Īlso the HD got a big hit plus the laptop battery burned and it got heat. I remember that this HD was full atone point. When I run photorec the recovered files are useless and photorec stops after a while or crashes the computer. quicksearch ineffective after several hours I stop testdisk. After several hours there are no hd read or write activities when I look at the activity monitor app or computer crashed. I can not make a backup from main partition. The hd is severely damaged not sure what to do with it next. I am trying to recover files from a damaged apple partition.
